Commitee Goals

1. Evaluate how we can use technology to provide better service and meet future needs of providers and individuals served through participation in ODP’s Technology Initiatives and discussion of billing and documentation software, technology to increase clients’ independence and solutions to new requirements such as Electronic Visit Verification.
2. Recruitment and Retention
   1. We coordinate and offer an annual Direct Support Professional Conference – held on the Friday of “DSP Week” which is generally the second week in September. Our goal is to develop a quarterly “advancement track” series of trainings for those who have attended the annual conferment and/or Front-Line Supervisors, Supports Coordinators and Program Specialists.
   2. Approximately every 6 months (in April and October), we coordinate and offer a 5-day training class for ACRE (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) certification at reduced cost to CAP member organizations.
3. Continue to coordinate and offer the annual Richard C. Frech Celebration of Success (October) luncheon for clients to attend with their staff, where we recognize the positive accomplishments of persons served who live and work in the community. Organizations are able to nominate an individual who has achieved particular success in the past year to be honored at the event.
