Greetings, CAP Members,

At our last meeting, we discussed ending the offer of virtual general membership meeting participation in favor of in-person only meetings.  The rationale was to enhance discussion and the opportunity for relationship and network building which is always better in person.  Members of the Executive Committee received feedback on some practical obstacles to immediately ending virtual participation, but we have agreed upon a revised meeting plan and I’m happy to share it with you.

  1. The CAP meeting year is September to June.  We will plan to continue with hybrid meetings for the balance of this meeting year with exception to the April meeting.  This meeting will be the Government Relations 101 Training and we will need to meet in person for that.  Hopefully, members will have enough time to adjust schedules to allow for travel, etc.
  2. When members participate virtually, PLEASE KEEP YOUR CAMERAS ON. The Children’s Committee uses this ground rule and they find it very helpful to promote the engagement of the group.
  3. Beginning in the new meeting year (September 2023), we will be 100% in person.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughtful input, especially the Executive Committee who carefully considered an approach that is considerate and workable.

Sue Coyle, CAP President

Chief Executive Officer, Chartiers Center
